About Us
Every strand of rattan has a story — we simply help weave it

From partner forests in Sumatra and Kalimantan to your living room
Our journey began with respect for natural rattan and for the hands that have worked it for generations. We believe the best quality comes from a process that is never rushed: rattan is selected strand by strand, soaked and dried the traditional way, then woven by artisans who have practised this craft since childhood.
Today, Global Rotan works with dozens of artisan families to create rattan furniture and crafts that are sturdy, environmentally friendly and full of stories — ready to ship to customers in Indonesia and abroad.
Our process: (1) harvesting mature, flexible rattan from partner forests; (2) traditional soaking and drying so the rattan is stronger, mould-resistant and easy to shape; (3) hand weaving, strand by strand, by experienced artisans; (4) finishing and thorough quality control before each piece is shipped.
“We don’t just make furniture. We look after stories woven from Indonesia’s forests, so they reach your home intact.”
